It's Snowing in October

Ok, so we've always told Adam that his birthday is when the snow will start falling and skiing will begin shortly after his birthday celebration.  So, in perfect 4 year old logic he asked when we will start celebrating his birthday and how long until we can go to grandma's snow house to ski?  Needless to say we had to tell him it's quite a while away, and that we'll be trick-or-treating in a few days instead.  A bit puzzled he seems to be satisified with the idea of candy instead!
